Another Theory To Help You With Your Life
Prince is an effective balm for PMS.

Chocolate, cheesy movies, and alone time notwithstanding, I have just discovered something else that will soothe the beast within me. And it is Prince. Five feet two inches of spaz, sex, and tragic melodrama. Allow me to recommend his more overwrought hits, like "Purple Rain" and "When Doves Cry" for serious cases.

He only wants to see me laughing in the purple rain.

Comments:
We had a CD at the bookstore called "An Acoustic Tribute to Prince." It was awesome. So awesome that somebody bought it. :(

Prince is the business, but you want to be careful; you shouldn't pull out the big drugs for minor pains.

I think I should go purify myself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka...

PMS. Shouldn't the song have been Let's Go Crazy? Did I just say that out loud? Sorry.

Megan: Acoustic? Prince? Really?

Lu: Duly noted, as well as your skillful incorporation of the underused phrase "the business."

Echo: I believe you meant "in the PURPLE RAIN!" I never meant to cause you any sorrow...

Dale: As much as I would like to look for the purple banana until they put me in the truck, that song is just too exuberant for this. Don't worry, you'll learn.

Baby, I'm a star....

I'm not sure if I can learn at this late stage but I'll see.

For some inspiration, see Dave Foley's classic Kids in the Hall sketch "The Guy with the Good Attitude Toward Menstruation."
