  One Of My Students
Yesterday she was asking me to buy pies from her for a school fundraiser.

Today she had a brain aneurysm and is still in surgery.

I don't know if I can do this job.

It's because you care so much taht you *have* to do this job...

Thanks all.

The latest is: the surgery was "successful," which means that she survived it. They had to take a small piece of her brain. She's now in a coma, induced to help her heal, but they don't know what to expect, regarding functioning, when she wakes.

I guess this is the best you could hope for under the circumstances, but even that is debatable I suppose.

For now we're just waiting.

I'll keep my fingers crossed. Keep us posted.

They had to take off part of her skull.
