The Love Affair Is Over, Or Help!
No, not with Ed Begley Jr.; my love for him is steadfast and true. I'm talking about my damn IPod. I charge it, I safely remove it from my computer, I listen to it a little (or not), and after a few hours of being turned off (or "at rest") it won't turn on again. So I plug it back into the computer, and the little charge icon cheerily says it's fully charged! What the heck?

Comments:
Bring it with you Saturday and your friendly neighborhood geek will take care of it :)

Maybe the little "hold" button that you slide back and forth is sticking? That happened to me once.

I need to take mine by the Genius Bar; it's not storing the songs I upload.

Thanks all. The Hold button doesn't seem to be the problem, and I am afraid to take the next steps they recommend... "Restart"? "Restore"? Will it hurt it?

unless it's an ancestor of number five, i doubt your newborn will be harmed.

as long as your songs are all on your computer, resetting won't hurt anything. it just means your next sync will take a long time.

I think I've figured it out! If I have it paused and just let it go to sleep, rather than turning it off with the play/pause button, it comes back on again no problem, even hours later. Hm.

In a move that seems to amuse only me, I pull lines from the blogs I hit on the Next Blog button, and arrange them into found poem form.
